BAND6K: C-NOTE vs CALLING GRACE
Born in Stuttgart, Arkansas in 1983, Charlie Franklin III began singing in church as early as 4 years old. After singing every Sunday in church and in school, he and his brothers started an R&B group together. While writing songs and singing with his brothers he moved to Hutchinson, Kansas where they opened up for the likes of Color Me Badd, Coolio, Olivia, South Sixty Five, and many other artists in the Music Industry. Charlie also worked at the Boys and Girls Club for six years. Where he was a Youth Vision Leader and was responsible for lots of shows as well as the well-being of hundreds of kids daily. As they got older and went separate ways Charlie (A.K.A) C-Note focused his attention on a solo career.
Charlie sang in High School, Show and Jazz choirs in college and was the Lead Role many times acting and singing in different classic musicals (ex: 1776, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, etc). While in Branson, Missouri for a High School National Show Choir competition Charlie also won Best Male Vocalist beating out close to a 100 other soloist. Always pursuing his singing career, C-Note has performed for many birthday parties, County Fairs, has sang at weddings, and has also opened up for Keyshia Cole, Shaggy, Rik Rok and many others. He wrote and released an R&B album called Makin' Music and has completed several mix-tapes. He also recorded a music video in Lincoln, Nebraska which is featured on You Tube.
Charlie got a chance to show off his acting skills in an independent film while in Nebraska. Just recently Charlie auditioned for the Arts Expo, which is a program and showcase for up and coming stars from all around the world. Charlie auditioned with many other contestants in and around Sioux City, Iowa and was one of the chosen few to represent Omaha, Nebraska in the Arts Expo. Since moving to Sioux City, Iowa in 2009 C-Note has also opened for Gorilla Zoe, Rittz, Lil Flip, Devin the Dude, and the Legendary Scarface! Not to mention he signed to hottest label in the Sioux City area 4WORN RECORDS. This guy is one talented Recording Artist with the versatility to record albums both in Hip-Hop and R&B categories. Make way for this Hunid Dolla Man and watch his career continue as the stakes get higher and higher.
Hailing from the landscapes of Sioux City in Iowa, Hard Rock recording artists Calling Grace began their journey into the music realm last year in 2017, and are determined to hit the ground running as they manifest into a industry-worthy live-act and innovative group.
As the Rockers formed and solidified their live-show experience through relentless rehearsing, Calling Grace began to grace the stage almost immediately after formation; and quickly landed slots on some high-profile shows such as performing as the Support Act on the Scarlet Canary / Anchor “SHUT UP AND MOSH” Tour, Opening for National touring act Starset at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, and many others.
It also wasn’t long until Calling Grace found their calling to enter the studio, where they recorded their debut single “Here’s To The End”, and also their own supercharged Z98 Underground Award Winning Rock cover of Simple Mind’s “Don’t You (Forget About Me)”.
